ITV has commissioned a third ten episode season of period drama, Mr Selfridge, starring Jeremy Piven.
Filming will begin in April, on location in Greater London in a replica of the 1909 Selfridges shop floor built in a former carpet warehouse. The exterior of the store will be filmed in the historic Dockyard Chatham in Kent.
Mr Selfridge is inspired by the life of title character Harry Selfridge, an American entrepreneur, who launched Selfridges on Oxford Street in London. The show has proved successful with audiences in the UK, US and internationally.
The second series is currently aired on ITV1 on Sunday nights at 9pm and is due to premiere in the US on Sunday March 30th on MASTERPIECE on PBS.
